On November 4, Ambassador Zhou Jingxing met with Mr. Peter Frølich, Chair of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence of the Storting. The two sides exchanged views on China-Norway relations and international and regional issues.

Ambassador Zhou noted that under the strategic guidance of the leaders, China-Norway relations have maintained sound and steady development, and the two legislatures have kept close communication and exchanges. The Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence plays an important role in Norway’s foreign policy making. China is ready to increase mutual understanding, expand consensus, and deepen cooperation with Norway, and jointly contribute to world peace, stability and development.

Mr. Frølich spoke highly of the sound momentum in China‑Norway relations and welcomed China’s important contributions to addressing global challenges. The two countries need to strengthen communication and coordination to continuously push forward bilateral relations.
