On 28 October 2026, Ambassador Zhou Jingxing visited Elvebakken Upper Secondary School in Oslo. He held a meeting with Principal Camilla Hauren Leirvik and addressed teachers and students in the school’s auditorium.

In his speech, Ambassador Zhou elaborated on China’s independent foreign policy of peace, drawing connections to traditional Chinese philosophy, culture, and history. He stressed that He (harmony and peace) lies at the very core of Chinese values and has become ingrained in the DNA of the Chinese nation. He noted that this foreign policy is deeply rooted in China's historical pursuit of peace and harmony, as well as its long-standing resistance against foreign aggression and struggle for national independence. Emphasizing that China will never seek hegemony as it grows stronger, the Ambassador reaffirmed China’s firm commitment to working with Norway and all other countries to build a community with a shared future for humanity.
Ambassador Zhou encouraged the students to cultivate a global vision, learn the Chinese language, explore Chinese culture, and contribute to the friendship between China and Norway. He also took questions from the audience in an interactive Q&A session.

Before the speech, the students warmly welcomed Ambassador Zhou Jingxing and other Chinese diplomats by standing to sing the traditional Chinese folk song Jasmine Flower.
Minister-Counselor Zhou Ningyu, Deputy Chief of Mission, was also in attendance.
