On October 28, 2026, H.E. Mr. Zhou Jingxing, Chinese Ambassador to Norway, met with H.E. Ms. Cecilie Myrseth, Norway’s Minister of Industry and Commerce. They exchanged views on deepening China-Norway economic and trade cooperation.

Ambassador Zhou noted that China-Norway relations have maintained sound and steady development. China regards Norway as an important partner of cooperation. It stands ready to work with Norway to implement the important understandings reached by leaders of the two countries and further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in green transition and other fields, so as deliver more benefit to the two countries and peoples.

Minister Myrseth warmly welcomed Ambassador Zhou on his assumption of office and spoke highly of the achievements of bilateral cooperation. She stated that China is an important trading partner of Norway, and Norway values the opportunities in the vast and open market of China. She will lead a delegation to China to attend the Ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE). Norway looks forward to deepening economic and trade cooperation with China to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
