On July 30, the Chinese Embassy in Norway hosted a reception to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Approximately 150 guests attended the event, including officials from the Norwegian military and government, friends from various sectors, members of the defense attaché corps in Norway, as well as overseas Chinese, Chinese students and representatives of Chinese enterprises in Norway. The Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Norway ZHOU Ningyu were present.

Colonel JING Yihao, the Deputy Defense Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Norway, deliverd a speech and highlighted that under the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Strengthening the Military, the PLA under the leadership of the Communist Party of China are focusing on the goal of building the military into a world-class force by the centenary, and are advancing with greater confidence and vigor. The PLA will continue to uphold the banner of peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit, work together with militaries around the world, practice the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind, implement the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative, and the Global Governance Initiative, and make its due contribution to promoting enduring world peace and universal security.

During the reception, guests viewed the themed photo exhibition and promotional video, remarked positively on the achievements in the development of the PLA and commended the Chinese military's important contribution to safeguarding world peace.
