On May 7, the Chinese Embassy in Oslo held the 3rd China-Norway Green Cooperation Seminar: “EVolution - Embracing a Greener Future”. Over 120 participants attended the event, including representatives from leading enterprises, industry associations, and professional media organizations from both countries, such as Huawei, BYD, the Norwegian Automotive Association, and the Drivkraft Norge.

In her remarks, Ambassador Hou Yue stated that the decarbonization of the automotive sector is crucial to fulfilling emissions reduction commitments, and that the electric vehicle industry has become a new hallmark of China-Norway cooperation. During the period of the 15th Five-Year Plan, China will accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of its economy and society, making green development a new engine for growth. China stands ready to work in close partnership with Norway, leveraging our industrial complementarities, to unlock new potential and injecting fresh impetus into our bilateral cooperation.

Participants spoke highly of the remarkable progress made by China’s electric vehicle industry and expressed optimism about the future of China-Norway and China-Europe cooperation on green transition. Guests also showed strong interest in the Chinese electric vehicles showcased at the event.
