Recently, the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted on X, echoing the UK side in hyping up the so-called “malicious cyber activities from China-based companies” . We firmly reject it. The UK’s deliberately smear and illegal unilateral sanctions on Chinese entities are extremely egregious. China has lodged serious protests with the UK. China stands firmly against hacking and fights such activities in accordance with the law. In the meantime, we also firmly oppose spreading disinformation out of political agenda. In fact, China is the biggest victim of cyber attacks. We have suffered several intrusions from member countries of the“Five Eyes” and NATO, including the US and the UK, for which conclusive evidence are presented. If Norway truly cares about cybersecurity, it should be clear-eyed and make independent judgments on the basis of facts instead of parroting other to vilify China.
The world faces common challenges in cybersecurity. We urges the Norwegian side to abandon double standards, refrain from echoing unsubstantiated claims, and instead work with China in a responsible and constructive manner to safeguard peace, stability and prosperity in cyberspace.
