On September 21, the Chinese School in Norway held it’s 30th anniversary celebration. Ambassador Hou Yue was invited to attend the event and delivered a speech. Over 300 people, including teaching staffs and students of the Chinese school and overseas Chinese of different sectors in Norway, attended the event.

Ambassador Hou extended her warm congratulations to the teaching staffs and students, and stated that the 30 years of the Chinese school in Norway, epitomizes the development of Chinese education overseas, and is also a vivid portrayal of the affinity between Chinese and Norwegian peoples. Ambassador Hou expressed her hope that the school will strengthen its solid foundation while innovating continuously, align with the evolving trends in international Chinese language education, build a shining brand for Chinese language teaching, create a more systematic environment with higher-quality for students studying Chinese, and present Norwegian citizens with more diverse and comprehensive perspectives on China. She encouraged students of the Chinese School in Norway to draw wisdom and nourishment from the exchange and dialogue between Chinese civilization and world civilizations, spread and promote Chinese culture, and contribute to the China-Norway friendship.

Following her speech, Ambassador Hou watched cultural performances alongside the guests and presented awards to outstanding educators, including Mrs. Yuanjun, the head of the Chinese School.
