Wang Yi said that in recent years, China-Norway relations have seen heavy setbacks. Norway has reflected profoundly on the reasons that damaged mutual trust, and held earnest and serious consultations with China on improving bilateral relations. Norway is willing to turn a new page of the development of Norway-China relations on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.

After the meeting, both sides issued the Statement of the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Kingdom of Norway on Normalization of Bilateral Relations.
