On December 14, 2022, H.E. Yi Xianliang, Ambassador of China to Norway, bid farewell to H.E. Anniken Huitfeldt, Foreign Minister of Norway.

Ambassador Yi looked back on the positive progress made in the China-Norway relations and bilateral cooperation in various fields over the past three years. He expressed sincere gratitude to the Norwegian government and people for their support to the Chinese Embassy in Norway and to ambassador himself. He wished the two sides will continue to enhance political mutual trust, expand and deepen pragmatic cooperation and promote the continuous, sound and stable development of China-Norway relations.

Minister Huitfeldt highly appreciated and thanked Ambassador Yi for his contribution to the development of Norway-China relations, and praised Ambassador Yi as a good friend of the Norwegian people. She also expressed her reluctance to bid farewell and her best wishes to Ambassador Yi. She said that the Norwegian side is ready to work with China to strengthen communication at both bilateral and multilateral levels to promote the continuous development of Norway-China relations.

The two sides also exchanged views on other issues of common concern.
