From May 20 to 21, Ambassador Hou Yue visited Equinor, Norwegian Offshore Directorate, the ONS Foundation, and Energy Transition Norway during her stay in Rogaland County.
Ambassador Hou said that although the current international landscape is full of changes, an open China is always an opportunity for Norway. Energy transition is the key area of green cooperation between the two countries, and the two sides have highly complementary advantages in the new energy sector. The prospect for future cooperation is promising. We look forward to further expanding pragmatic cooperation in energy and other fields, providing stronger impetus for realizing green transition and injecting more stability into the world economy.
Anders Opedal, President and CEO of Equinor, and Leif Johan Sevland, President and CEO of the ONS Foundation, among others, said that China is leading the world in the new energy sector. China is not only an important market for Norway's energy industry, but also a trustworthy international partner. It is expected that the two sides can enhance exchanges and mutual learning, tap deeper into the potential for cooperation, and provide greener solutions for global development.
