On March 22, Ambassador Hou Yue attended and delivered remarks at the launch ceremony of Hainan Airlines' direct Oslo-Beijing flight. Ms. Elisabeth Svanholm Meyer, Director of Innovation Norway, Mr. Thorgeir Landvåg, Executive Vice President of AVINOR, and Mr. Zhang Guoping, Deputy Chief Executive, Hainan Airlines Holding, were also present at the event, along with representatives from relevant industries, Chinese enterprises, and local Chinese communities.

Ambassador Hou congratulated Hainan Airlines on the inauguration of the direct route, noting that it not only shortens travel time but also brings the hearts of the Chinese and Norwegian people closer. She emphasized China’s resolute commitment to advancing high-level opening-up, stating that partnering with China means partnering with opportunities and the future. She expressed hope for continued progress in practical cooperation across all fields between the two countries and extended a warm invitation to Norwegian friends to "a trip to China on a whim" via the direct flight to experience the real China firsthand.
