On January 25th, the Chinese Embassy in Norway, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, Norwegian Chinese Federation and other organizations jointly held the "Happy Spring Festival" New Year Gala. About 700 representatives from various sectors of Norway joined the celebration in Oslo.

Ambassador Hou Yue extended her New Year greetings to the guests, reviewed the solid progress achieved by China modernization over the past year, and highlighted the fruitful results in China-Norway exchanges across various fields. She stated that standing at the new starting point based on the 70-year diplomatic relations, China will continue to work with Norway to enhance mutual trust, expand cooperation, deepen friendship, and jointly contribute stability to the advancing of humanity. 

Ms.Signe Brudeset, Director-General of the Department of Regional Affairs at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warmly congratulated China on the Spring Festival in Chinese, highly commented the new progress in China-Norway relations, and emphasized that Norway will continue to work towards the healthy and stable development of bilateral relations.

Artists from Beijing staged a wonderful show of songs, dance, acrobatics, martial arts, and Chinese traditional music, showcasing the colorful and profound Chinese culture. A famous Norwegian singer also gave a passionate performance. Guests also had the opportunity to experience the intangible cultural heritage of kites and sugar painting, sharing a joyful and friendly moment at the event.
