From May 23 to 29, Ambassador Yi Xianliang visited Stavanger, Sandnes, Alver and Bergen in western Norway. During Ambassador Yi’s visit, he met with County Mayor of Vestland, Mayor of Sandnes, representatives from EQUINOR, SMEDVIG, Media City Bergen, Bergen Chamber of Commerce and Industry, as well as University of Stavanger and University of Bergen.

The two sides exchanged views on further promoting the bilateral cooperation in fields such as sustainable development, culture and art, trade, education, science and technology, etc.  

Ambassador Yi stressed that his first and foremost responsibility is further promoting the bilateral relations in the interest of the two peoples.He elaborated on China’s counter COVID-19 measures, policy framework for carbon peak and carbon neutrality, as well as it’s firm commitment to high-standard opening-up. Yi also encouraged the relevant counties, cities, enterprises and educational institutions to avail the opportunities of China’s development and enhance cooperation in all aspects.

Representatives of respective offices and organization welcomed Ambassador Yi’s visit and believe that China is an important partner of Norway's future development, and the bilateral long term cooperation has yielded fruitful results for both sides. They also expressed their determination to further enhance the cooperation between the two sides and strengthen the friendship between the two peoples and reiterated the importance to built a dynamic and forward-looking relation between China and Norway.
