1. Applicants are advised not to apply more than three months prior to their journey. Applicants should take upon themselves any consequences resulting from their failure to submit visa application at an appropriate time, which may lead to either their already-issued visa becoming expired or it being too late to get a visa before their planned departure date.

2. Any information correction by the consignee is supposed to be confirmed by the applicant.

3. Once submitted, the visa application cannot be corrected or cancelled. No visa application documents will be returned, the applicants should make copies themselves in advance if necessary.

4. Invitation letters may be faxed copies, photocopies, or printed copies. However, consular officers may require applicants to submit the original copy of the invitation letter. When necessary, consular officers may request applicants to provide additional supporting documents or supplementary materials, or require applicants to attend a personal interview, based on specific circumstances.

5. It is the consular Officers who make the final decision on whether a visa is to be issued or not, what type of visa to be issued, the visa's validity period , duration of stay and number of entry according to China's laws and regulations. The informed date of visa collection is only applied to the general. Consular Officers may request an applicant to provide additional supporting documents or have an interview when needed. Therefore, the visa collection date may be postponed as well. The applicants should not take it for granted that their applications are surely to be approved. The Embassy is not responsible for any related economic losses if your visa application is rejected.

6. Applicants should verify their visa's validity and sufficient number of entries before traveling to China. Those holding expired visas or visas with insufficient entry times shall reapply for a new visa.

7. Foreign nationals bringing animals, plants, currency, or other items into China must comply with relevant Chinese laws, as well as regulations from health quarantine, inspection and quarantine for animals and plants, customs, and financial regulatory authorities.

8. Foreign citizens shall not overstay their visas in China. Foreign nationals in China must monitor the validity period of their passports and the duration of stay permitted by their visas. Those requiring extended stays must apply for an extension at local public security authorities.
